Eee PC 901
While there is still 12 days of the release of the Celeron version of the EeePC 900, Asus has already formalized the next version June 3rd!

What changes in this new version? The Celeron processor is replaced by an atom of course, probable cases clocked at 1.6 Ghz. The Bluetooth is emerging. A second microphone was added, probably for better recording quality. And finally, the Linux version should be many more applications pre-installed (it smells the marketing argument, to ensure that the installation of new programs is much Easy was a much better option)

In terms of design, a lot has been redone: the outlet has been moved to the right (wrong choice in my opinion), the port Kensington has been moved to the left (significant for those who want to use together the VGA output), the touchpad has a metal edge (I’m not a fan) and one sees huge metal hinges (I’m not a fan either).
The most striking change is undoubtedly the disappearance of the Asus logo to keep only one of the Eee. It seems certain that Asus wants to completely differentiate its activity ultraportables more or less low-cost compared to its classic business notebook “deluxe”.

Now the point that angry. The EeePC 901 is planned for June 3 (USA only as a first step to counter the MSI Wind?), But at a price of $ 650! That is $ 100 more than the Celeron version for additions that do not justify this price increase at this time (it will wait for the full specifications for judging), especially since the atom was supposed to promise a new generation of low-cost PC. And although EeePC is a brand that appeals to the general public since the success of the first model, I’m not sure a $ 100 model sold more expensive is a good option for contrerle MSI Wind
