Asus Eee PC 1001P-MU17-BU 10.1-Inch Intel Atom Netbook Computer (Royal Blue) CustomerReview
Wife and I bought the Asus Eee PC 1001HA MY17-BK in the first place such as word processing on-the-road internet access when you want to use ratings of customers to different societies. We bought in April 2010 and is now August. worked very well for this purpose. E 'size is perfect to slip into briefcases and travel bags, and was generally easy to connect when the network service is available.
I chose this mainly because at the time ofwas at the lower end of price range, had at least a four-star rating from Amazon a large number of people had a hard drive big enough, and was the longest battery life advertised. I actually do not think it would get 11 hours on a charge (and not), but it did take several hours, especially if the work is done in short segments. One could almost 9 or 10 hours if no processing done on the left, but if it is the processing of continuous text, the remaining timedecreases. If you play any video or music, the remaining time becomes very quickly.
As for usability, it has all worked well. The screen is easy to read, Windows 7 is suitable for what we do and we've successfully added the software we need without difficulty (particularly Windows and Office drop-down box). My wife (who is the primary user) is the keyboard of 92% and notepad handy enough. I think it's OK for cruising the Internet, but it is difficult for prolonged useTap. Even though my hands are not too large, I seem to accidentally press buttons and it seems easy to contact my thumb on the pad, which sends the cursor flying across the screen. More than a couple of times I just typed an entire paragraph, because my thumb apparently dragged (the selection is a large amount of text) and the subsequent letter Entered wiped out completely eliminated. This is frustrating for me, but like I said, my wife says it is OK for them.
When we treat the rightBe careful, because it seems designed not robust. The surfaces and the keyboard to bend under light finger pressure. Nothing is given, but we are careful not to test him.
Before buying I read some posts indicating the power adapter to the wall as a problem area. When I got the first one I tried was the same with the device while charging. The adapter was very hot and the car seemed no longer loaded. I need to closeeverything is fresh, and tried again from a different outlet. The same thing. Since then we have tried to use the machine while plugged into the wall — we can charge, then unplug it and use. Then stop and recharge. The power has been quite cold and has worked on.
Another feature. We have built a digital voice recorder with a USB plug in it. When I connected to the laptop, immediately starting the machinery, electrical and I mean immediately. He took it out on, tried again. The same thing. Now I know that I have tried all other USB items on it, so I do not know if the recorder or notebook (or maybe just not these two together) was.
In general we are quite satisfied, and it was a good purchase for us.
