What’s The Microphone Jack On My Asus Eee Pc Good For?

Use it for connecting a good microphone if you don’t want to use the tiny one built into the Eee. On my Eee 701 4G, I think the little microphone is located on the bottom under the touchpad. Supposedly it works well, though I imagine a separate microphone connected to the jack and better positioned to receive sound would work better.
